Grand Canyon: Flora and fauna

Here's some of the flora and fauna that we saw down in the Grand Canyon...

the flower of a yucca plant

indian paintbrush

cactus flowers

yellow desert flowers

When the agave plant flowers, it puts up a large stalk, which flowers, and then the plant dies. The third photo shows living and dead agave next to each other.

a bighorn sheep (the only one we saw the whole week)

this is probably an eagle or a California condor

some lizards

I recently hiked Kaibab down then Bright Angel up. I was entranced by the beautiful scent on the hike up Bright Angel. Do you know what plant produced it? It was spicy sweet. Thanks!
