Today's the big day!
I'm off to Europe today! Here we have bear helping to pack. Everything (full camping/canoeing gear, plus the size 10 boots, plus the work clothes and whatnot for the archaeology dig) is in the backpack and the daypack, about 45 lbs. On the other hand, I'll be doing a LOT of hand-washing. And hopefully not too much hand-wringing. :-)

Well, as of Saturday morning's email, he said he intended to update the blog when he got to Eric's hotel later in the day. Either they're having soooo much fun, or they lack an internet connection.
